Pharmacological Action:
Erection-enhancing ingredient: Tadalafil is a PDE5 inhibitor. PDE5 inhibitors are a class of compounds. Among them, four drugs—Sildenafil (Viagra), Tadalafil (Cialis), Vardenafil (Levitra), and Avanafil (Stendra)—have been approved by the U.S. FDA and China's drug regulatory authority for treating male ED (erectile dysfunction). These medications significantly improve blood flow to the penile corpus cavernosum, enhancing erections and making sexual activity more lasting and satisfying.
PDE5 enzyme is widely distributed in the penile corpus cavernosum tissue. It inhibits blood flow to the corpus cavernosum, leading to inability to achieve or maintain an erection (commonly known as impotence). Tadalafil contains cGMP, which effectively inhibits PDE5, allowing the corpus cavernosum to relax and fill with blood, resulting in a full erection.
Delay ingredient: Dapoxetine is the only drug approved by China's drug regulatory authority for treating male PE (premature ejaculation). As a novel, fast-acting SSRI with a short half-life, it is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) used to treat premature ejaculation, with a total efficacy rate as high as 98%.
